Harrison's Christening Day

by Gareth, posted 30th November, 2016

In the Fourth Film of the Aldridge Trilogy we follow their son Harrison on his Christening Day

Over the last few years we have been lucky enough to work with the Aldridge Family on three different occasions.

First came Ben and Debbie's Wedding Day in 2013. Next was Jim and Jan's 10th Wedding Anniversary Celebrations in 2014 and in 2015 we filmed a special documentary featuring Ben's parents - Philip and Pauline's 40th Wedding Anniversary.

In March 2016 their son Harrison was christened - and we were once again invited to work with the Aldridge family - helping them to preserve the memories of Life's Milestones.

The Aldridge films are slightly different to our standard films - as we are now 'friends of the family'.This is why there is a lot of extra stuff featuring us!!

Their film begins as Gareth and Jack are driving from Merseyside to the West Midlands - in a special edition of #TheExtraMile video blog. This was specially requested by Ben as an introduction to their film.

Once we had arrived - and once they had returned home we catch up with the family, meet Harrison for the first time and we are treated to a home-made Mocha by Ben.

With everyone ready we head off to St Thomas's Church for the Christening itself.

Their film includes the whole of the service and the actual baptism.

We then head off to the Corpus Christi Community Centre for a special afternoon celebration that included Mickey Mouse, a Children's Entertainer, A special speech by Ben and a singer - who dedicated songs to the Mums in the room - it was also Mothering Sunday - and to Harrison.

As usual on our films we give the guests an opportunity to leave video messages - this time it was for Harrison - when he looks back on this film in 10 or 20 years time.

Harrison's Christening Day was a brilliant day - it was great to film with the Aldridge Family yet again - we look forwards to the next time.

Harrison's Christening Day was filmed by Gareth and Jack, with additional photos taken by Jack.

Harrison's Christening Day. Running Time: 107 minutes.

Ben Says: Gareth after watching Harrison`s Christening Dvd tonight.....its safe to say you are the best of the best! Even though the vicar really restricted your filming at the church you still managed to capture the moment......and how you managed to reduce the noise in the church so we could hear the vicar on the dvd was quite incredible as i could hardly hear the vicar on the actual for the editing, music for the party afterwards it was so moving and touching....we deft re-lived the feelings and emotions we had on the day........thank you for the fourth but i so dearly hope not the final time from the depths of our hearts....i was going to say you have no idea how much these films mean to us.....but im sure you do after all the emotion and hard work you put into love the extra mile and i didnt need to ask you what i wanted you to talk about because you did and respect heading your way always.....all our love...the Aldridge family.xxxxx #AnotherFamilyMilestoneCapturedForever
